About an hour ago I (read 5:30 am) I was awoken to one of the most seemingly horrific series of events. Maybe once or twice in your life you come face to face with the notion that you are going to die.
As Anna and I were laying in bed in my new place, I, for whatever reason, woke up. As I did I sensed that someone else had gotten up off of the bed. As I layed there in bed I looked up and saw the figure of a white male standing over the bed. I know for a fact that at this point I was fully awake and completely in shock. I could see this ominous figure standing over us, and I could tell that he was leaning into us in the bed. It was right around this point that I became, what you would call, scared shitless. I looked over to the end of the bed where the light switch was and saw another figure, this one of another white male and around 6'4". My heart racing uncontrollably. In high school a friend of mine had the same experience happen to him. A man broke into his house and sat there watching him sleep. Armed with this haunting memory, I was certain that these two men were not going to be too happy that I was awake. I complete and utter terror at this point I jumped up and fumbled for the light switch. After finally finding it, and waking Anna up in a quite startled manner I realized that there was really no one there.
To say I was just completey terrorified would be an understatementI suppose that is way it is now 7:00 am and I'm still awake.
Oh well, just had to get that out of my system.
Goodnight.

This must be the worst week ever and it is only Tuesday. After completely bombing my Calc test, my bike got stolen, right out side of the computer labs at school. Then, today, I had to take an Assem. Lang. test which I was nowhere near ready for.
I am trying to recover from this hellish week by locking myself in my apartment and reinstalling linux on my iBook. I might just have to go over to Bo's and play a little Blitz 2003 though; its my digital drug.

"Don't be a fool, stay in school". God are those words ever feeling more and more like my college career.

Tuesday was my 21st birthday. Unfortunately, I got so heavily intoxicated the day berfore that my birthday wasn't too exciting. I got to spend the day with my girlfriend so that made things quite nice. Besides that, nothing much else to say. Oh, by the way, working at Brewers sucks.

12 hours and counting. I could really go for a smoke right about now. Going all night at work is going to be hard as hell.
Last night I also changed some of the web page. It is much more basic right now but it somewhat shows the direction in which I am trying to go with the page. Who know, it might be something completely different soon.
Hopefully in the next month I will be getting the Koolance case, which will be the first part of the liquid-cooled "beast" that I am trying to build. Stick around, the first review should be up in the beginning of May.

Well that's it. I have smoked my last cigarette. I have tried qitting in the past but it just hasn't ever worked. Today, however, was my last day as a smoker. I know that I can do it, it is just all in my head. Wish me luck...

I thought college was supposed to be fun. In the past three weeks it feels like I haven't stopped moving. I am guessing that the days of partying and blowing off classes are over. I have been trying to get some time to start working on my web page, plus get my laptop finally running linux, and also try to start brushing up on some programming but so far none of these have panned out. This weekend I should have some free time to sketch out a few plans for my web site. The only problem is that a lack of funding is keeping me from putting any "new and amazing" pc mods up and my inability to get X working on my laptop is making it hard for me to put any info up about Linux on the Mac. Those being the two main focus of my web page, I'm not too sure what I am going to be putting up, but believe me, it will be great, what ever it is.

Damn, I'm tired. Guess the stress of a new job and school is taking it's toll. Well, I guess that I should start this out right, huh? My name is Ryan Donahue. I am struggling through the great academic institution of Georgia College & State University, trying to get a computer science degree( although right now something more on the lines of outdoor ed. sounds more appealing). GC&SU is in Milledgeville, GA; as most of you probably have no idea where thats at, let's just say that it is in the middle of Georgia, about 40 miles east of Macon. I just started a new job as a server at a local restaurant called Brewers. Check them out at www.brewersdowntowncafe.com It's a small little bistro but very nice. Slowly but surely I'm getting my groove their. Well, I think I have revealed enough of myself for one night.

Well, today nothing much has happened. Just started back working on my webpage and trying out this blogger stuff. Pretty nifty so far, if I must say so myself.
Time to hit the sack and get ready for class.
